Captain's Welcome

Members and Visitors,

Welcome to the Copthorne Golf Club website. It is my hope, and that of the Committee, that you are able to quickly locate the information you are seeking and arrive well-informed and prepared for your visit to our Club. 2017 marks the 125th anniversary of the founding of our club and we are looking forward to the celebrations.

At Copthorne, we are proud of our fine parkland course, much of which was originally laid out by James Braid in the early 1930s and latterly updated by Bill Cox in the 80s. I am certain you will find it a challenging yet fair test and trust you will enjoy our interesting and unique layout. It is our hope that the quality of our golf course is matched by the warmth of our welcome and attentive service in the Clubhouse. Our team, led by Managing Secretary John Pyne are on-hand to ensure your visit runs smoothly and your requirements are met. Head PGA Professional Joe Burrell and Assistant PGA Professionals Dean Powley and Russell Buxton are always available to advise on all matters relating to Golf and Lucy Sanchez, who heads up our front of house team will be happy to attend to your food and beverage requirements.

Thank you for taking the time to visit the website, we look forward to welcoming you to our Club in the near future.

Warm Regards,

Paul Delaney
